A First Cook is the top ranking amongst the Line Cooks, also known as a Station Chef or Chef de Partie, is in charge of a particular area of production. In large kitchens, each Line Cook might have several Cooks and/or assistants.
A First Cook is the top ranked Line Cook and will be in charge of a particular area of production within the kitchen. The Second Cook comes under the First Cook in hierarchy. In large kitchens, each First Cook might have several Cooks and/or assistants.
